Anyone who has read my blog (AMOKArts.com) would know this is a book that is right up my alley, using creativity in ministry and as such, this book surely does not disappoint. While this book is great for creatives, there is another group that could probably use this book even more and that is people who do not believe they are creative. Dedmon tears down so many of the walls people build around their own creativity. I have always believed myself to be a creative and truthfully this book even felt liberating to me.There is a wealth of information here from someone who is at the forefront of creative ministry and everyone could be blessed by reading it. I think at the ore of the message of this book is the idea that creativity is a gift from God that can, and must be used, in a multitude of ways to the glory of God and for His Kingdom. You were born to create. If you don’t believe that, you need to read this book and if you do believe it, read it anyway, it will spur you on to even greater love and good deeds.

In 1990, while he was sitting there and looking at the city below, he wrote himself a check for $10 million dollars, dated it Thanksgiving, 1995, adding the notation "for acting services rendered", and carried it in his wallet from that day forth. By 1995 his asking price for a movie role was $20 million dollars. When his dad died in 1994, Cary placed the $10 million dollar check in his father's coffin as a tribute to the man who encouraged him to live for his dream.I had an angelic visitation from the annointing on this book. It can't get any better than that. It's time for me, for all of us, to get out of the box, out of the boat, and not be afraid to take the risks required for a miraculous life. The stakes are too high and the time is too short.
Teresa Dedmon has written an entirely practical book about something supernatural, which seems entirely impractical. I love the far reaching implications of using God given creativity to impact the marketplace, society, schools, and churches. Very thought provoking, challenging, and encouraging all at the same time.
Our creativity is given by the Holy Spirit. Reading this one will allow you to enter into your part with God where creative ideas and expression of those ideas come to life. It's something different than normal christian thought, but we need to be exposed to something different if we are to create something different in our lives
A couple of weeks ago, I asked my prayer group to pray for me to use my creative mind to help others. I love being creative. Since then I have stopped by my piano and played hymns on my way to my computer and it is giving me joy. Then I selected this book on my Kindle and have been reading it every night before I sleep. Since beginning this book, I have finished a lap quilt and have a good start on another. Since they are specific gifts for special people, I have have many prophetic thoughts about each of these people. It will be interesting and fun to see how they respond. There are books that you read, love, finish and forget. Don't do that with this book. The teaching in this book can be applied to your life, immediately, wherever you are. It can change your whole outlook on who you are and what ministry is. Don't just read this book and say wow, I wish I could do this stuff. The point is - you can. The choice is yours. You don't need to follow a blueprint. Follow Holy Spirit and be who you were made to be.
Incredible book for both creatives and those who don't consider themselves to be creative. Wonderful stories about what God is currently doing in the Earth, plus challenging concepts that will change the way you see the world. Love this book and would highly recommend to anyone who is truly interested in more of God.
This was a wonderfully encouraging book to me as an artist! I loved it! She also opened my mind up even more about not only does our creativity come from God, but to create to minister to others in a supernatural way through prayer etc. to be able to create things that will speak and minister to people deeply. I also loved the examples of what others are doing and how they are using their creativity. Will read it again and plan on applying what I am learning to my artwork!
